Playing games with energy—for kids!

It’s not as if a person grows into an adult and suddenly becomes energy-conscious. Changing the practices you grew up with is tough, and we get that. We see it every day in our own work encouraging members (and sometimes our own selves, frankly) toward the changes that save energy.

The answer, we think, might just be to start earlier. And Touchstone Energy can help—its KidsEnergyZone.com is geared toward K-5 students and packed with activities that bring new awareness about how energy works and how families can best work with it.

Kids can jump on over to the site to find games, puzzles, learning activities, and videos that feature kids talking to kids about energy. A section for parents brings family-oriented activities into the mix, and a teachers’ page includes lesson plans for bringing energy info into the classroom.

Here’s to starting early and keeping the energy smarts flowing.
